Her foster family provided her with the love and patience she needed to continue healing, both physically and emotionally. She flourished in her new environment, enjoying long hikes, playful moments with other dogs, and plenty of cozy snuggles.

Instead, they patiently earned her trust, giving her the space and time she needed to feel safe.

“When she had accidents in the house, they responded with kindness and understanding,” the rescue wrote. “They thoughtfully introduced her to new people and new places, always with her comfort in mind. Thanks to their patience and love, Clover finally began to feel at home. She had found her place in the world.”

The rescue shared that Clover had torn both of her ACLs — a serious injury for any dog, especially one who had already been through so much. The required surgery was expensive, costing $5,000 per knee, and the rescue turned to their community for support, asking for $5 donations to help cover the cost.

Despite this new setback, Clover’s spirit remained strong. Her family was committed to seeing her through the recovery process and supporting her every step of the way. They reported that Clover was still thriving, continuing to work through her lingering fear issues and enjoying a happy, full life. “She’s living her best life,” they shared proudly.
